What is the purpose of the Locker Room?

The first half of life is a hard fought quest for success. Life is full of the pursuit of the things we think will bring joy and fulfillment to life. Along the way, we make some big plays, take some big hits, and may experience some pain and disappointment.

What do I want to be remembered for?

  • How much is enough?
  • Am I living a balanced life?
  • What do I want for my family?
  • Am I living in God’s purpose for my life?
  • Why am I not feeling satisfied in my success?

The good news is that, no matter what the score is at the end of the first half, the game is won or lost in the second half. The objective in The Locker Room is to lay out the game plan for the second half and transition successful marketplace leaders from the “first half quest for success to the second half journey for significance.”

However, winning or losing, in the locker room we begin to take stock of the first half, and it is here we begin the “Locker Room drill:”

"The Locker Room will be the journey of a lifetime.  Dick Gygi and Greg Murtha are seasoned leaders and I can't think of better guides to walk with you.  I thank God for your commitment to move from success to significance and I look forward to hearing about all that happens in your lives over the next year."

Bob Buford, Author of Halftime, Game Plan, and Finishing Well, Founder, Leadership Network
